Why two jurisdictions
Qualifying twice is slow and expensive, and most lawyers sensibly do not bother. The reason to do it is that the alternative does not work very well.
The usual arrangement for a matter spanning Lithuania and the UK is a firm in one country instructing a correspondent firm in the other. Two retainers, two sets of fees, and a client who hears the advice second hand. Neither firm owns the strategy, and the decisions that matter most, such as which country to sue in, tend to get made by whoever was instructed first.
Practising in both removes the seam. A judgment obtained in Vilnius and enforced in London is one piece of work. A divorce where the couple own property in both places is one conversation. That is worth the years it took to be admitted twice.
Before this practice, I built and ran the legal function of SAVY, a Baltic peer-to-peer lending platform, as co-founder and general counsel: licensing, anti-money laundering, know-your-customer and data protection, from nothing to a regulated operating business. Your file is not passed to someone you have never spoken to. The judgement, the drafting and the advocacy stay with me. That is a genuine constraint on volume and the reason the work is consistent.

Fixed fees are published where the work allows one. Where it does not, you get a written estimate before anything starts rather than an invoice afterwards.
You hear the answer, not a translation of it
English, Lithuanian and Russian, directly. Nuance in a legal answer is the first thing lost when it passes through an interpreter.
If I cannot help, I say so quickly
Including when the honest advice is that a claim is not worth what it costs to bring. That conversation is free and it happens early.
How to check any of this
Both admissions are on public registers and neither takes more than a minute to verify. In England and Wales, the Solicitors Regulation Authority register lists the practice under SRA No. 666548 and the individual under SRA No. 621485. In Lithuania, the Lithuanian Bar Association register lists practising advocates.
Checking a lawyer's regulator before instructing them is a sensible habit generally, and it is worth doing whoever you are speaking to.
